Trail Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our top priority, on and off the trail.
Whether you’re a first-time rider or a seasoned biker, following basic safety practices ensures not only your well-being but also that of your fellow riders and the environment.
Before you hit the trails, take a moment to review these essential tips to help you ride smart, stay safe, and make every adventure a great one.

Wear Protective Gear
Always wear a helmet, gloves, and appropriate footwear. Consider additional protection like knee and elbow pads.

Check Your Equipment
Before heading out, ensure your bike is in good condition. Check the brakes, tires, and gears.

Carry Essentials
Bring water, a first-aid kit, a multi-tool, and a map or GPS device.

Know Your Limits
Choose trails that match your skill level. Don’t attempt advanced trails if you’re a beginner.

Ride with a Buddy
Whenever possible, ride with a friend. It’s safer and more fun!

Respect Other Trail Users
Remember we share the trails with hikers and other riders. Yield to hikers. Be courteous and announce your presence when approaching others.

Stay on Marked Trails
Stick to designated paths to avoid getting lost and to protect the environment.

Be Aware of Wildlife
Stay alert for animals and give them space. Avoid feeding or disturbing wildlife. We are in forested trails and in bear country. BE BEAR SMART.

Follow Weather Conditions
Check the weather forecast before heading out. Avoid riding in extreme conditions.

Leave No Trace
Pack out all trash and respect nature. Preserve the trails for future riders.

Road Riding Safety
When riding on roads, always follow traffic rules. Use hand signals to indicate turns, ride in the direction of traffic, and stay visible with lights and reflective gear.
